My work here reflects that mix: on the Mirasis Ofis project along the D-100 corridor I designed the public areas — lobby, reception and corridors — and reviewed the construction drawings; in Yahyakaptan I delivered a turnkey apartment interior from design through to site. The recurring problem in İzmit renovations is a post-1999 building stock that no longer matches how people live: narrow kitchens, compartmented living rooms and inefficient wet areas. Reading the structural system correctly and re-planning the layout produces far more value than a cosmetic refresh.
